What will we be doing?

This depends on your area of interest as well as the projects being done at the training center. There can be involvement in building projects, animal projects, agricultural projects, as well as involvement with the Nicaraguans in the community around the training center.

Where will we live?

You will be staying at the Christian Center, which is a camp outside of Managua. The camp is owned and operated by Equip Ministry, whose mission is to equip locals with job skills, while presenting the Gospel through the lives of the missionaries and through the power of the Scriptures. There is a "dorm" house that you can stay in. There will also be tents for your use.

What about food?

Interns should come with a monthly allowance for food. They may use the camp kitchen to store and cook their food.

Work teams will bring funds for their food as well as helpers who will do the cooking and cleaning, leaving the work team free to be involved in the projects they have decided to be involved in.

Will we need a passport? Visa?

You will need a passport. This usually takes about 6-8 weeks, so plan ahead. You do not need a visa. When you enter Nicaragua, you will receive a 90-day visa.

What other funds are needed?

Interns:
Including the food allowance, you will need approximately $150 a month.

Teams:
Your funds will be detailed in a separate Email to the team leader.
